At AAIS, the commitment to foster continual learning for all, at all times has been at the core of our Founding Philosophy. Designing Learning experiences that would facilitate Inquiry and Thinking, nurturing Curiosity and developing Independence are at the heart of our Learning Frameworks and continue to be so; in the Virtual Learning environment as well. Through our Learning Framework Models, we are committed to continue:
- Designing Learning that is holistic
- Sustaining well-being amongst our Community of students and staff
- Nurturing responsible living
- Extending learning through the resources in our community
Through the summer of 2020, the AAIS School Leadership Team was actively involved in listening, reading, observing, discussing and planning the Virtual Reopening of the Academic Year 2020-21. While this involved a wide reach-out to several educators and thinkers across the world, in equal measure, it was also a journey of an inward quest into Who we are; What is important for our Community, in times like these? What and how should our students learn? As a School that has always believed in and nurtured healthy Home-School partnership, the voice of the parent community was actively considered.
At AAIS, the Learning Frameworks of the various age-groups have been a product of sustained focus ensuring that a critical balance between Academic Learning and Social-Emotional Wellbeing of our community is maintained at all times.
