At Akshar Arbol International School, all stakeholders share the School’s vision of continual learning for all, at all times. All  teachers entering the School as new rookies, go through the robust Induction Programme offered by the School prior to the start of each academic year. Through the course of the Academic Year, all teachers participate in the specially-designed weekly Professional Development Programme, offered at all our campuses. Additionally, teachers participate in the various Professional Development programmes offered by the International Baccalaureate Organization, Cambridge International Assessment and Examination Centre and other bodies of repute, such as the British Council, Kurivila Jacob Initiative .

As a growing group of teachers, like our counterparts around the world, we keep busy each day, facilitating students, planning, grading, communicating with parents, completing reports and building learning resources. Each week, though, we find time to meet in small groups or as one large group to discuss pedagogical issues, take turns to direct sessions on learning and continue to grow our understanding of what it takes to be an excellent teacher. While learning happens at these weekly sessions, interactions in hallways, over lunch, at team meetings, in the computer lab exploring new software and even on field trips reinforce what we have learned. At AAIS, teachers are part of a vibrant, curious, growing professional learning community!
