Studying in the IBDP at AAIS, has prepared me into becoming a global citizen, with a good understanding, ready for the next phase of my life. AAIS helped me regularly exercise all of the IB learner profile attributes, as there was always an event or cause where one would have the opportunities to develop and demonstrate skills.
Education is the idea that changed the world, however the lack of proper education can lead to so many problems. It is up to an educational institution to develop students that have their own perceptions of the world and not the opinion of an unknown author from a printed book dated a decade back. In that aspect, I was lucky to have, at AAIS, a very homely atmosphere with a community of friendly teachers, who gave a lot of importance to individual growth. The special and unique about the teachers at Akshar Arbol is the fact that they see themselves as mentors too, on top of being fantastic custodians of knowledge. At any other school I wouldn’t be able to walk into a teacher’s room and ask for some help with an issue I’m struggling. The open mindedness and authenticity of the teachers at Akshar Arbol are what make the school one notch above.
The most cherished memories of School would quite possibly be the various field trip we went on. Apart from those , it felt great to openly talk about issues that were troubling me, to teachers and them listening helped me out a ton. The biggest lesson I have taken from Cambridge and IB education I have had at AAIS is to be able to get back up again. I’ve fallen, multiple times and yet there was always someone who pushed me to get up and keep going.
In an ideal world, every child should be internationally educated, and where they end up is their choice. I am glad my parents decided to put me in the international programmes at AAIS, as now, I am both aware of a world outside India and I’m armed with a skill set that would help me stand a chance in this world of competition
I graduated from AAIS in 2018 & am currently pursuing my Chemistry Honors and Astrophysics Minor at Mount Allison University.Doing International Baccalaureate at AAIS helped me develop vital life skills, such as time management, effective written and oral communication. Engaging in group activities and going for TOK (Theory of Knowledge) classes definitely improved my critical thinking skills. All of these in turn prepared me better for university.
The skills I developed at School was the problem solving abilities, taking initiative for Community-based projects (CAS projects), and learning to collaborate with team members and becoming more caring towards the environment
Teachers at Akshar Arbol gave personalized feedback to me, for improvement. Constant encouragement and Caring for the students is the hallmark of Akshar Arbol. I remember the wonderful time when all our teachers got together to talk about every student and their efforts to improve that student.
The most memorable lesson I have taken from Cambridge/IB education would be – WORK HARD no matter how many people discourage you and the results will follow!! (experience from extended essay)
I believe proper education is important! My school education made a huge difference to me for me, because I did not just learn subject, but I learnt how to be a better individual.
School prepared me to be ready for real-world tasks, how to focus on extracurricular activities, such as Community service, and motivated me to pursue my academics and focus on my future. Through life at AAIS, I have developed Environmental and Social awareness, and deep interest and motivation towards my Academics.
I’ve developed a more global perspective and have realized that there is more there , than just our small worlds. I feel more advantaged because of my learning at School ,I find college life to be easier to work in.
AAIS taught me how to be a global student, and think globally. I learned how to work with many people, and people from different cultures and ethnicities.
Time management, Leadership are the skills I’ve developed at School. The most cherished memories of School would be playing pictionary with the teachers and students, having one- on-one moments with the teachers, and all the times spent with my peers.
