Aadi Street Festival
August 24, 2018
Event Navigation
Aadi street festival at AAIS is a reflection of the best practices of creativity, activity and service along with upholding the tradition of the month of fervour and observances in Goddesses related to Water-forces and Natural forces. The students made the idol of Amman, a South Indian Goddess and brought the traditional koozh, a healthy and tasty porridge made from millet. The third aadi street festival of the year 2018 had a lot to offer in terms of knowledge, sales, creativity and most importantly service. The focus on collaborative team work and putting forth products that had finesse ensured the sale of all the handmade products culminating in the success of the event. This year saw a lot of hand crafted products like jute coasters, recycled tyres, furniture, pot hangers, flower vases which saw old glass bottles getting some serious, crafty makeovers, door mats from old cloths, paper jewelry all of which were a great hit with the visitors. As usual the food stalls, games and the new addition this year, the juke box, magic squares saw people thronging in great numbers, waiting for more than one chance.
