The students of grade 9 and 11 had an enriching and engaging session with Ms. Radhika a
specialist in Waste management on August 3
rd 2018. She is highly involved in reaching out to the
society by creating awareness about the harm caused to the environment through dumping of
garbage. She continues her service to the society by educating the students about
Waste management and Composting, wherein up to 60% of waste can be converted into useful
manure.

Our students at TSS gained ideas about
● Sustainable waste management.
● Types of wastes and methods of segregation.
● Benefits of waste segregation.
● Composting and steps involved in Composting organic waste.
● Uses of compost.
Through this session our students were able to understand the need for the Segregation of wastes
and composting and on how they can to an extend conserve environment.
At the moment Grade 9 students are using this session as the base for looking at ways ……
